Most people who sign up for a web app never get to the thing they signed up for. They start a render and close the tab, or open the dashboard once and don't come back. PennyPost watches each new signup's first two weeks, notices the moment they stall, and emails them right then from your own address. Then it shows you who came back because of the email.
How it works
- Connect your app: one click if you use PostHog, one destination if you use Segment, or a snippet and one server event that Claude Code or Cursor can add for you. PennyPost only reads at this point. Nothing is sent.
- See where people stall. Activation shows how many of your new signups reached their first result, and how many got stuck at each of the five moments: left before their results were ready, never opened the results page, never did the first action, stopped halfway through setup, or came once and never again.
- Turn on an email for a moment. It goes out when someone stalls there, at most one a day, never at night in their time zone. Your first 10 wait for you to look at them.
- See if it worked. About 1 in 10 people who stall get no email on purpose. Results compares the two groups, so you can tell the email apart from people who would have come back anyway.
Seeing where people stall is free. Emails start with a 30-day trial.
Who it's for
PennyPost is built for web apps where a new user has to wait for or do something before they get value: AI photo and video tools, story and faceless-video generators, site scanners, data imports. It covers a person's first two weeks only, so you can keep whatever you use for newsletters and product announcements.
